Minecraft causes system failure on Arch Linux using KDE Plasma on Wayland.
I chose to test Arch Linux. I thought I'd try Minecraft first, but after some installation hiccups, the game launched smoothly. However, whenever I focus on anything—whether looking out or using TNT—the system freezes and crashes with graphical errors. There were moments of a black screen lasting 5-10 seconds between glitches, which the capture card missed. Usually I have to restart the system after this, but it recovers once crash reports appear across all programs. KWin shows a seg fault, PlasmaShell signals a stop. The problem isn't hardware; Windows handles demanding games well. Untitled (1).mp4
I think it was an issue with arch. Although the memtest was a good call, I found some faulty memory and now I'm RMAing it. But now with good memory it behaves the same, Windows and Ubuntu works perfectly fine. I guess I'm giving up on arch for now, maybe I'll try again at a later date.
