Mid end Gaming PC running slowly
Hello, I own a Ryzen 9 3900X with two 8-core 2400mhz HyperX 2400mhz DDR4 modules. The system runs at 2080 Super B450 Tomohawk and Corsair AX1200W power supply. My issue is that the PC is performing better than expected. For instance, in Valorant Low settings 1080p it reaches up to 300fps on average, while Warzone 2 low settings show 100-90 fps and ultra at 70fps. I understand my RAM is slow, but could this really be limiting the performance? My previous setup, an i5 9600k with 1070 16gb at 3000mhz, only slightly lagged in Valorant.

I noticed Ryzen tends to react more to RAM speed, so upgrading to 3200Mhz and adding 32GB would be a good move. Considering current DDR4 pricing is reasonable, it makes sense to go with that. I’d recommend 3600Mhz but have experienced stability problems with older boards. What RAM slots are you using?
I would reinstall the GSKILL at 3200Mhz and set it to 3200Mhz in the bios. Zen 2 usually handles 3600Mhz with two RAM sticks, not four, and I haven't found stability unless you're using the newest chipset. Are you certain you have dual channel memory? Performance might drop in games on Ryzen if dual channel isn't enabled. You should usually fill slots A2 and B2 first (2 and 4). Skipping that can hurt performance.
