I’m facing this strange problem where the game stutters consistently when performance drops below 60fps. I’ve attempted various solutions but nothing has resolved it.
PC details:
CPU – i5 6500
GPU – GTX 1060 6GB
RAM – 16GB 2133mhz DDR4
I’ve experienced this issue for some time, even though most games run smoothly at 60fps or higher. Recently, I’ve been playing more demanding titles like Microsoft Flight Simulator; while my frame rate stays around 30 to 50 FPS, the minor stutter makes it unpleasant. I think the problem lies with my CPU, which often hits 100% usage and isn’t a major concern, but I’d rather avoid upgrading if possible.
Fixes tried:
- Adjusting CPU temperature settings
- Experimenting with Nvidia control panel options
- Disabling Vsync and testing different types
All drivers are current.
My system feels outdated, but I’m okay with performance under 60fps; just want to eliminate the stutter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This will occur during the monitor's refresh rate adjustment.
