I changed the operating system from Vista to 7 and set up Norton, but it keeps conflicting with Microsoft security features. It’s blocking me from disabling it. What should I do next?

Remove it or disable it via the services menu. By the way, Norton is really poor quality.

Better than Macaffee or MSE. I don't know so far it works, not the greatest, but it works. Then again there seems to be a push towards free antiviruses, that I haven't had much luck, so I stay with Mcaffee(hey free for life(20 years I believe for $15 isn't bad)), and Norton.

Windows allows only one active A/V source at a time. This can cause unusual behavior or conflicts when multiple sources are used. To test Norton, remove Microsoft Security Essentials first. If you later choose to reinstall it, ensure Norton is uninstalled before installing the new security suite again.

Thank you. Earlier, turning it off helped. I'm going to remove MSE now.
