Microsoft misses another opportunity once more.
On Monday, Aul explained that Windows Insiders won't receive Windows 10 for free, at least not immediately. Although July 29 signifies the launch of the final version of Windows 10, Microsoft plans to refine and improve the OS afterward. The firm will also maintain the Windows Insider program, allowing participants to download the newest preview versions for testing and providing feedback. These preview releases are what Insiders get regularly. Each build has a limited time, but Microsoft assures a replacement with the subsequent version. In short, those interested in staying in the program can obtain Windows 10 for free, though they'll always run a non-activated beta build.
Insider codes remain valid for another month before they stop working. They mentioned recently that no one will receive a free version, and the only upgrade option is reverting to W7/8/8.1 via Windows Update.
