Microsoft has reduced Windows 11 to version 10.
I bought a laptop with a framework OS in the summer of 2022 and after a week tried Windows 11. Clearly, Vista performed better than that version. I continued using it, hoping updates would resolve the problems I faced, such as buffering MP4 files on my local drive. I know network connections can cause buffering, but not the drive itself. Usually, 11 was just slow. It might have been because my laptop lacked a GPU, though I downgraded four weeks ago and haven’t experienced issues. Has anyone else had to revert to Windows 10? Or are you alone in this situation?
I recently purchased a new workstation and decided to go with Windows 11. I set up the drives and installed 10 in just over 20 minutes. However, the interface didn’t impress me at all. The "Open with..." option was buried behind several irrelevant menus, making common tasks more cumbersome. The new Start menu also felt disappointing. Unfortunately, the UI remains frustrating and still has some unresolved issues despite supposed improvements.
I set up Windows 11 during the creation of my 12700 system and have been using it ever since alongside my earlier 10 Pro license. The only machine still running Windows 10 is my work laptop, mainly because it doesn’t officially support the 7th Gen architecture. I wouldn’t have changed otherwise. Curious to know if this was restored with 22H2.
heh... yup exactly the same, win10 (1809) forever ...! : D Spoiler well, at least until windows 12, i guess where is open in new window, rename , copy , delete, cut, edit with 3d paint, send to, pin to start...? (just the most common ones i use very frequently) I wouldn't however miss "create shortcut" what a forsakenly stupid little button lol... ps: did they really add clipchamp or did you add that manually? (ok software, but requires a ms account, which in turn requires a telephone number, so complete no go for me)
I thought it was set up automatically after I attempted to modify a video using the Photos app.
Likely just a suggestion then, but it still needs an MS account.
The frame rate was capped at 1080p with 30fps, which felt disappointing compared to what seemed possible. It might have been altered after launch, though the 30fps limit was also present in other features like the video editor. Regarding account rules and automatic setup, those aspects appear to conflict with regulations, which will be closely watched. (Also relevant for Google and similar platforms)
