Microsoft abruptly stops providing the Windows 10 November update through the Media Creation Tool
Is this device actually functional? It hasn’t performed well for me. I own four Windows 10 machines, and each had to download the update separately. The updates came through the internet correctly, matching my usage stats. I think a homegroup would be necessary. Also, it wouldn’t help much if you’re trying to install Windows 10 on someone else’s system.
I haven't tried the feature myself, so I'm unsure if it functions properly. You're likely correct about needing a Homegroup. Your observation is accurate.
It seems the update might have introduced issues for some users. I believe the next major release will address these problems, allowing the Media Creation tool to function properly.
It could be a minor hassle having to install all the updates since July, but I don’t think it’s a major issue. This isn’t the long wait of the 8 to 8.1 update that dragged on for weeks.
I just updated my computer using the newest MCT tool, and everything worked smoothly. It's fascinating to watch how they perform in the future, especially if they share the reasons behind their changes.
In the original version of Windows 10, the feature to skip checks didn’t function properly for me. It still pushed the update anyway. The Windows Hide update tool failed to recognize the driver update attempt to conceal it. That’s frustrating—I’ve expressed this before and keep emphasizing that we should be able to hide at least driver updates. The forced driver update is really irritating.
It didn't function properly for me too. I thought it was an issue with my system, but hearing others use it made me believe something was wrong with the software. Apparently, Microsoft rushed the W10 release too quickly, and even their "no service pack" announcement hasn't resolved the problems—it's caused more issues now.
The update extended my startup time from roughly 7 seconds to about 45 seconds. It’s unclear whether it was a general delay or an NVIDIA patch, but the 3D settings in my GeForce drivers became enabled, causing poor game performance and long loading times.
