You're experiencing issues with your microphone setup on Windows 11. Both the Fifine 683 and Razer Blackshark v2 headset aren't picking up sound in any apps except Discord, and Windows reports only a tiny volume level. It might be related to driver conflicts, audio routing settings, or background processes interfering. Checking for updated drivers, adjusting audio settings, or temporarily disabling background apps could help identify the cause.

Have you tried using them on a different device? Is Discord claiming full authority over them? Have you adjusted their settings in Windows? Do you require any specific programs to set them up?

When Control Panel Hardware and Sound is not enabled, go to the Recording section to check your microphone and set defaults. On Windows 11, you must add it manually. Discord may not be using the default device, and your chosen mic might not work properly. You should notice a projection on the right side meter if noise is detected. A USB mic appears as a separate input, while a 3.5mm mic uses the built-in sound card, which sometimes needs a software prompt to recognize it as a microphone.

They functioned well on a different device. I'm exploring another approach now.
