Microphone functions fully except within Steam games.
As the title implies, my microphone isn't functioning in any game with Steam. Steam manages to pick up my mic in the settings, but it doesn't work in Rust, CS, VRChat, etc. I've tried everything possible and checked what's available on Steam Forums, but nothing has helped. All settings are correct. Could you please offer any advice? Thank you.
I solved it myself. I’m using a scarlett Solo with two inputs, and apps like Discord usually take from the first one (like a guitar jack), but Steam games prefer the first input for their own needs. So I opened the Scarlett software and turned on “Combine Input 1 and Input 2.” It’s now working perfectly.
