I've been asked by my mom to create a high-performance setup for her day trading station. After being away from the building for about three years, I'm trying to find a micro ATX motherboard compatible with 3rd generation Ryzen processors. It needs to be micro ATX-sized and have enough room to safely fit two GPUs. I'm considering GTX 2060 models, possibly in micro form factor. I'm also looking for a case that fits all these components well.
someone I know set up a Threadripper system using an AsRock TR4 board with three PCIe slots. I’m not sure if you could fit two full-width GPUs there, but two of the slots were next to each other. The case he used was a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Matzu, which is the same size as my meshify C model. For this build, why go with 2060s? You can’t really change them, but it might not be a big problem. If you decide to use a 2060-series chip, I’d suggest the Evga 2060 Ko/KO Ultra—they have a better die and shorter cards for better performance.
Unless I overlooked something, stock trading doesn’t necessarily demand a lot of GPU power. Perhaps having more visible display space on a large 4K screen would be beneficial. It seems internet connection benefits from link aggregation, though gaming cards aren’t required. For your question, check the chipset information on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryzen.
