Mic Troubles
Mic Troubles
Hello. I just assembled a PC for my dad, and we share the same residence. We're dealing with a microphone problem. It functions perfectly on his Xbox Series X but fails completely with the PC. The audio isn't capturing well. We've adjusted the gain in Windows and other programs, changed input levels, but the volume remains too low to hear anything clearly. Testing suggests the mic is picking up between 3% and 15% at full volume according to Windows settings. His system specs are below average. I'm using a GIGABYTE B650M DS3H with AMD/Nvidia graphics disabled, an NH-D15 32GB (2x16GB), CL32 5600MHz, T-Force Vulcan 3060 12GB, ASUS Tuf Nvidia WD Black 850X 2TB (boot drive), Samsung 990 Pro 4TB (steam drive) and a 1200W 80+ Gold PSU. The issue seems to be with the Razer Kraken THX Tournament Edition headset mic. We've connected the included USB dongle and used a splitter for both front and rear inputs. When using the USB THX dongle, we tried Razer Synapse but still couldn't get it working. I've also verified that all BIOS and utility versions are up to date. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
