Mic sounds are buzzing, possibly due to grounding problems.
I have just moved into a new apartment and everything is working fine until I started using my mic. It keeps making a constant buzzing sound. I tried various solutions—lowering the volume, changing USB ports, switching to a dedicated audio USB port on my MOBO—but nothing helped. Placing my hand near the PC case reduced the buzzing, which makes me pretty sure it’s a grounding issue. I’ve also tested different power outlets and cables, even using two different ones, but the problem remains. I’m not an expert in electricity, so I’m unsure if the whole apartment’s power management or bad grounding is the cause. I’m trying to find out what options I have to fix this, since I’m confident it isn’t just a problem with my PC.
That's why I'm absolutely certain it's a grounding problem. Issues that appear after moving into a new home aren't caused by the computer itself, but likely by problems with your wall outlet and possibly the entire house wiring. Hire a qualified electrician to inspect your wall outlet and the wiring in your residence.
