My previous system ran smoothly with the Razer Kraken 2019 headset, needing only a splitter due to separate audio and mic ports. My new PC has a combined port, so I no longer needed the splitter. The sound quality remains consistent, but the microphone is much quieter than before—still at full volume. Could this be related to the lack of a dedicated sound card? Both my old and new systems didn’t have one either. I’m trying various fixes and would appreciate any advice.

It seems the new motherboards' front panel audio DAC isn't performing as well. Are there any microphone inputs near the back you might want to check? Also, consider connecting your existing case's front panel to an older PC.
