I'm ready to take a chance. I've used a VR headset with a microphone, but it's not working properly. It's not a microphone issue—it's a software problem. I can confirm this 100% doesn't happen normally. When I start SteamVR, it keeps happening. My mic sounds like I just inhaled a lot of helium, took 20 paces, and it's really bad. Everyone online suggests disabling or uninstalling some NVIDIA stuff, but I have an AMD GPU and nothing to remove. This seems to need fixing at a VC level since my normal mic works fine. I've tried taping the mic to the headset, changing the face tracker, and even factory resetting my PC, but it still doesn't solve it. I'm surprised if you can help me get this working again. I've spent a lot of time trying to fix it myself.
