I've never owned the originals, and I've been holding off until these versions come out. Nothing grinds my gears like an old, un-optimized PC game.

The originals ran fine imo, could max them out on my ol' Deneb chip.

We can see from past experiences that companies behind Metro have charged extra for additional challenges, like the Ranger option. When compared to studios such as CD Project, which are fully committed to their fan community, this approach seems inconsistent. It’s possible that individuals involved in Metro might oppose certain policies, but they still rely on publishers who control the direction of projects.
