Metro LL Redux Performance?
Metro LL Redux Performance?
I own a slightly overclocked 390x1120 core/1750 mem with a 5820k @4.5ghz. The game runs smoothly at 1440p when tessellation is off or high, and detail is set to maximum without SSAA. However, when tessellation is enabled at high levels, FPS drops between 60 and 70, sometimes reaching high 30s, causing input lag and making it unplayable. Despite this, I still enjoy the game. How does your friend's experience look? I believed it was designed for optimal PC performance.
Quality is extremely high and tessellation is also very high. Advanced physics are included, though I can't use that right now. I found a performance video that matches what I'd expect at 1080p. The benchmark with tessellation and details set to maximum gave me about 61 frames per second. However, actual gameplay differs significantly. The visuals look great overall.
I spent a while pushing the GTX 770 to its limits, running it at 1080p with PhysX and SSAA disabled, and other settings at their maximum. It worked just fine—never dropping below around 55–60 FPS.
Max configurations and physical parameters are configured accordingly.
It seems the graphics setup is quite intensive, particularly on the AMD side. After installing my 290 for Crossfire, my minimum FPS should reach at least 90 now that tessellation improves normal performance to around 50fps. The game still looks great, offering a much better experience compared to most other PC titles.
The older 7770 handled maximum configurations well, but tiling caused issues.
