I downloaded Metro 2033 Redux and tested it without tessellation; I achieved over 100 FPS. When I enabled tessellation, even at the lowest settings, the frame rate fell to 15–25. That’s unusual—my original game ran smoothly at full settings. Anyone experiencing similar issues with crossfire AMD cards? With a 2xHD6950 (1GB), i5 3570K (4.2GHz), 8GB RAM on a fresh Windows 7 X64, the problem persists in Last Light Redux too.
Not only AMD graphics cards are affected. Nvidia is experiencing similar issues too. Many players notice FPS drops or stuttering in Metro 2033 Redux, even though it's a brand new title. Keep an eye on updates. Those who play Metro Lastlight Redux have no problems, but 2033 has encountered challenges.
I just started using Last Light Redux and ended up facing the same issue. Maybe I should change the initial message.
Tiling is mostly managed by your CPU unless the developer made it complicated, which would normally fall on your GPU. Still, a 3570K might slow things down, so likely the issue lies in the code itself.
