Yes, it could work. An Intel i7 Extreme and a SteelLegend motherboard can be paired with an AMD Radeon 6700X GPU.

It shouldn't block an Intel processor when paired with an AMD graphics card, provided the motherboard supports the Intel socket.

It should function smoothly. It will operate on PCIE 3.0 for 10th generation processors or older, though performance may differ by up to 2 frames per second. My setup uses an i5 and 5500 XT and everything runs without issues.

It's often thought you can't combine different brands like an AMD CPU with an Nvidia GPU or an Intel CPU with an AMD GPU. But that's not true.

CommanderAlex is right! Many folks mention sticking to AMD CPUs and GPUs, or Intel CPUs with NVIDIA graphics. Personally, I prefer AMD CPUs paired with NVIDIA GPUs—the combination works best for gaming in my view.

I noticed a good offer for a 1600 dollar CPU on that low-yield YouTube channel with 14 cores for 320. I think it could be a smart move since it's a great deal and I'm not planning any risky projects.
