^(Model: MSI MPG Z790 EDGE WI-FI DDR4) ^(Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinums DDR4 3466 MHz - 4x16GB) ^(Processor: I5 - 13600K) ^(Power Supply: Corsair RMx1200 Shift GPUSmile ^(Merc 7900 XTX) ^(XMP setting not compatible with RAM when using XMP) ^(Original RAM: 2133 MHz 1.196V (CPU 3.5GHz)) ^(Current RAM: 3200MHz across 4 DIMMs) ^(Overclock activated: OC enabled, CPU at 5.2 GHz) I discovered yesterday that my motherboard doesn’t fully support the RAM at XMP speed. MSI allows 32GB 3200MHz variants in all four slots, but not my 64GB 3466MHz across four (only two slots). After some guidance, I adjusted the RAM settings via MSI Try It! in BIOS and enabled OC for the CPU. The system started with the CPU at 5.2 GHz and RAM at 3200MHz. I reset CMOS and ran MEMTEST86 last night—results passed without issues. Today I re-overclocked and rerun MEMTEST86, which showed 6 failures over 4 attempts (no RAM removal, used all four sticks). I noted MSI Try It! didn’t let me pick 3200 MHz CL16, so I chose CL15. 64GB is quite a lot, do you really need it? I'm going through something similar. If I were you, I'd set XMP and switch the frequency to 3200. You should use DDR4 3200 MHz with speeds between 16-18-17-36 and a voltage of 1.350V. If that works, you can explore further... (I'm currently using DDR4 3200 MHz at 15-17-17-36 with 1.370V). You should use DDR4 3200 MHz with speeds between 16-18-17-36 and a voltage of 1.350V. If that works, you can explore further... (I'm currently using DDR4 3200 MHz at 15-17-17-36 with 1.370V). You're welcome! Just confirming your settings: CPU SA Voltage set to 1.3–1.45V and CPU VDDQ to 1.35V. Timings are 16-18-18-36. Let me know if you need anything else.

Really doubtful. I purchased the kit back in 2018, probably due to a price mix-up—they were listed at £650 but were actually on sale for £320. It’s taken me a long time to finally start building a computer, as they’ve been sitting around for years. Thanks for giving it another shot.

Yes, that's the update. You're dealing with a Samsung B die. The positive side is you can boost your RAM speed, which usually improves timing and works well with higher voltages. The downside is it's the most challenging IC to power and the trickiest to clock at high speeds, particularly in quad configurations like yours. Trying to push two channels will make reaching 3466MT/s or more much simpler.

The downside is it's the most challenging IC to power and the trickiest to clock at high speeds, particularly in quad configurations like yours. Trying to push two channels will make reaching 3466MT/s or more much simpler.

Thanks for the update. I set up the standard XMP profile and reduced RAM to 3200. After adjusting the voltage, Memtest86 ran successfully. I completed a 15-minute memory stability check on OCCT with no issues. The CPU stability tests also passed under extreme conditions. I restarted the system and verified BIOS settings. During the last CPU test, it reached 100°C before stopping automatically. I’ll attempt to lower the voltage and see if that resolves the issue.
