I possess two Corsairs Vengeance 2400Mhz RAM modules that indicate different DRAM brands, though I'm not entirely certain about the wording. One module shows SK Hynix while the other displays Micron. I purchased them at Best Buy a while ago and only recently noticed this discrepancy. It hasn't been my usual habit to check RAM specs regularly, but about four months ago I started doing so because I've experienced occasional webpage loading stutters. Anyone have confirmation? All other details remain consistent except for the manufacturer of the DRAM.

Did you purchase them all at once in a single set, or did you acquire each separately? Even if they’re identical items, various production runs might include chips from different companies.

I purchased them together as a bundle, around $70 for the package.

Normally Corsair produces the RAM chips themselves and uses various manufacturers to meet specifications. They aim for consistency across products, so any concerns likely relate more to other factors rather than the RAM type itself.

These are just basic marketing tricks that function but shouldn't be ignored. As long as they aren't leading to computer slowdowns when opening browsers, it doesn't appear to be a major concern, right?
