I purchased new memory for my PC. Since then, I've experienced random fatal Windows errors related to memory management. I've adjusted various BIOS settings without success. When I bought the memory, I wasn't aware of qualified vendor lists and chose a type not listed for my motherboard. Could this be the cause of these crashes? Memory tests with Memtest86 and other programs show no issues, and the RAM appears to be in good condition. The only alternative I've considered is reinstalling Windows. This raises the question: if all else fails, could reinstalling Windows still resolve the problem? Has anyone had success with this approach?

My BIOS is current but the BIOS update for my motherboard (ASUS) is from about seven years ago. All systems are up to date including my OS (Windows 10 64-bit), graphics card, sound card, etc., and I've tested many BIOS settings. The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling Windows, which is the main question I have: how likely is it that doing that will solve the issue? Has anyone else had success with this in a similar situation?
