Does it seem typical for Windows to consume a portion of your storage while idle? It appears to be using three of your 16 gigabytes, which exceeds what I anticipated.

It's completely acceptable for Windows to require 2.5-3GB of RAM, which appears reasonable.

It's understandable you noticed that. The consistent usage of about 1.7GB during idle time suggests a moderate load, which could indicate typical activity for the system.

It's completely typical for Windows 10 to use a lot of memory when idle. Right now my system looks like this (most apps closed, browser also shut down during the screenshot): Unused RAM is just wasted space, but it starts to become an issue only when the OS doesn't free up memory when programs or games need it.

I was stuck at 50-60% during idle due to a Killer driver problem. Fixing it by updating settings, turning off NDU, and removing around 30 services (like Adobe and Avid) really lowered the usage. I’m tempted to trim everything down.
