I just upgraded from an AMD FX-6100 6-Core to an AMD FX-8350 8-Core. When I checked to see if Windows recognized it, I found that it said I only had 8GB of memory available. I have 16GB. Clicking on the Memory tab showed "Hardware reserved" jumping from around 100MB to 8.0GB. I've looked everywhere online but still can't make it change. The registry has "ClearPageFileAtShutdown" set to 1, and "Maximum Memory" is unchecked. I tried making an OS image with Macrium Reflect, clearing my boot drive, and installing the image, but nothing worked. I haven’t thought about reinstalling Windows while keeping my data, though it would be a hassle. If you know of a solution without a full reinstall, let me know. My specs are listed in my profile, and I’ve attached a screenshot from Task Manager.
