It must support the complete 16GB or RAM capacity. Otherwise, there appears to be a hardware mismatch. If you have full access, the issue likely lies with Windows itself. A fresh installation might resolve the problem.

It's even more puzzling that 9GB adds to the confusion. Since each stick functions independently, a genuine hardware issue seems unlikely unless your memory controller is faulty. Did you attempt to use the RAM stick in both slots individually before testing them one at a time?

if it's only one stick it does not work in the other slot, but thats because of the motherboard for sure, it's normal.

Are you certain? Since the memtest doesn't interact with Windows, it's showing "Range tested" – 9216MB.
