You can return the kit if needed. For running the 32GB model with your i7-6700K, you might need BIOS tweaks beyond just enabling XMP. On the Intel side, I'm limited to 4th, 6th, and 8th Gen processors, so I'm not fully sure about the 6th Gen Skylake CPUs. I think it's similar to the 8th Gen.
