MemOK lighting activated despite motherboard issues
Hello, your ROG STRIX Z390-I GAMING Mini ITX board is having a memory issue. Inserting RAM on DIMM-A1 causes a boot failure and memory error, while DIMM-B1 boots normally. When both are used together, the system refuses to start. The MemOK switch cycles power and shows yellow LEDs, indicating a problem. Since the CPU and RAM work fine elsewhere, it’s likely a motherboard or RAM conflict. Try reseating the RAM, checking for physical damage, or testing with a different RAM module to isolate the issue.
The ideal positions for a dual channel setup are slots A2 and B2, which correspond to the second and fourth CPU slots.
A frequent issue involves a contaminated power connector and/or memory slots. Use 99% isopropyl alcohol, soak the connector and slots, then allow them to dry for a day or at least four hours.
