Your setup has a decent gaming rig with the right components. The GPU and RAM are sufficient for most games, but the CPU will play a bigger role in performance. For a Vive, you'd want a mid-range CPU like an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 to get good frame rates without breaking the bank. If you're looking for value, consider balancing performance and cost with a solid mid-tier processor.

Looks like your PC meets SteamVR’s performance standards. https://community.amd.com/community/gami...-and-valve The top choice for improvement would likely be a current locked i5.

My system is running smoothly with your current specs. The older GTX 960 still works well for lighter titles, while the new setup handles most games nicely.

Everything's okay. Focus on having a system that supports all VR experiences. Even if some high-end titles don't run, you'll easily handle simpler games like Rec Room, Zombie Training Simulator, and maybe The Lab. These will keep you engaged long enough for your i5 to perform well.
