Hi all
Is there a way to stop Media player from opening in the system tray (top right of the screen)?
The reason is that when it's opened the volume slider disappears from the bottom.

Apps like that typically don't display an icon in that space. But if it truly is, you can conceal it through Windows Settings -> Personalisation -> Taskbar -> Other System Tray icons.
If this doesn't resolve the matter, share a screenshot to clarify your problem.

have you run windows store/Downloads recently as there is a new version of media player just for 11, I don't know if it will fix that behavior as, like above said, its odd.
