Hey everyone, after a while I pressed Ctrl/Shift to walk and crouch, but it didn’t work. If I press Alt/Tab it brings me back to the desktop, and pressing Alt/Tab again gets me into the game. It’s really frustrating, any idea how to fix this? Thanks!
Could it be connected to sticky keys during rapid repeated shifts? If you look up shift sticky keys, you'll find instructions on how to turn it off.
Did you not realize this? Should it work on Windows 10? If yes, attempt to turn off fullscreen optimization via compatibility settings for the game's executable. Otherwise, the partial borderless fullscreen feature might still be interfering with background key registrations.
It's a Win10 feature. Nevermind. Maybe try run the came with Winxp compatibility instead. Right click the game's exe and go properties.
Can you try another key to test with?
I attempted to use Windows Edition in compatibility mode and tried an alternative key.
It's set up to crouch and walk, but I believe there are compatibility issues with Windows 8.1. Thanks a lot for your assistance!
