Hey there, I'm setting up my Asrock Z370 Pro 4 MB with a Hyperx RAM 2866 MHz DDR4 setup in a 2x4 GB configuration. I'm thinking about adding more memory—should I get two 4 GB sticks or one 8 GB stick? Also, if I upgrade to four 4 GB modules or an 8 GB stick, will my performance drop noticeably? Thanks!
Intel systems using 2 or 4 sticks show little impact on stability for overclocking or similar tasks, allowing safe use of 4x4GB. Mixing RAM types isn't a major concern; performance will align with the lowest common denominator. If you have 2x3200Mhz and 2x2400Mhz, they'll run at 2400 unless adjusted higher. Choose cost-effective options. When differences are minimal, opt for 4x4 or upgrade to 2x8GB.
