I recently upgraded my PC and installed an ASRock B450 Pro 4 Rev 1.01. The processor jumped from 2600 to 5700MHz, and I updated the BIOS and drivers. The system operates normally except during game launches. When trying Call of Duty or similar titles, the screen goes black, fans speed up, and the PC restarts. There are no blue screens or error messages. I suspect it’s not a hardware problem since other games and stress tests function correctly. I’ve managed to play Fortnite Horizon 5, R6 Siege, CS:GO, and Apex Legends at high settings. I also ran CPU and GPU tests to check power consumption and confirmed everything is within normal limits. I verified the connectors and temperatures stayed below 70°C under load. The CPU isn’t overclocked, and it’s running fully stock with a Hyper 212 cooler. I’ve reinstalled game files for those that still don’t work. Here are my specs: Ryzen 7 5700X not overclocked, Corsair 550W PSU, MSI RTX 2070, ASRock B450 Pro 4 Rev 1.01, 16GB G.Skill Trident Z at 3000MHz in dual channel, Windows 10 64-bit version 21H2, BIOS v5.00.

It might be a microcode problem similar to what Intel experiences. Those particular games could be interacting with CPU features that aren't functioning correctly. Consider reinstalling the driver and checking the backup BIOS as well.

Thank you for the idea. I've restarted the BIOS and confirmed it's using the newest release. Still, it doesn't seem to resolve the issue.
