Maybe I switched my network.
I considered changing my bedrooms to a larger space. The challenge was my HD Homerun requires the antenna in my current room for optimal reception. I thought about using a MOCA solution and sketched some possibilities while seeking advice. For context, the room is located slightly further down the hallway. I have access to the attic in the new room, planning to install a MOCA filter and a two-way splitter there. The existing line is currently used by Xfinity’s HSI service (150/10). Initially, I planned to purchase two bonded adapters from ActionTech. I wondered if I’d need a terminator for the adapter when it isn’t connected to the second coax port, since interference could enter open ports and disrupt the cable setup. I also learned that some recommend placing a MOCA filter directly on the modem, though this seems more suited for Docsis 3.1 models that support higher frequencies. Lastly, I’m looking for good splitter suggestions and any other tips to help decide if this upgrade is worth the cost.
