Midway through a tough war thunder game (moderate load, normal performance) my Acer Nitro 5 (10th gen i5 and 1660Ti) suddenly stopped working—no blue screen, power status off. Should I try anything or should I replace it? Any advice would be appreciated, I’m pretty used to it.

You checked if the device was properly connected. I also looked for any visible issues or error messages.

No typical symptoms appear; a power status indicator remains active continuously

Yes, it was fully charged, so that's not the issue

This means plugging it in does make a difference at times. Follow the standard procedure I’d recommend.

It seems to have no effect when powered off and turned on. When connected to a power source, there’s no way to verify the charger’s functionality without disconnecting the battery. I’d suggest removing the battery and reattaching it, then testing the laptop again. If nothing changes, try unplugging it entirely, then connect it to an AC adapter and attempt to start it. You can find more details in an IFixit guide with photos if you’re comfortable working with it.

Hey, I'll give it a shot tomorrow after school since it's too late for this, thanks!
