one of my ram sticks is preventing my PC from starting when I power it on with both installed, the CPU and DRAM indicators appear on the motherboard, but nothing happens. all fans are spinning, both memory slots light up (GPU lights aren’t visible), and I’ve waited over an hour—sometimes Ryzen behaves oddly during boot—and nothing changes. with only one stick in place it boots normally: motherboard model MSI b650 Tomahawk, Corsair Vengeance RGB RGB lighting for 16GB x 2, Ryzen 7 7700X. I’ve tried everything: confirming both sticks are fully seated in slots 2 and 4, clearing CMOS, updating the MOBO BIOS (version 7D75v1K2), and even testing the problematic stick in other slots. The issue persists. No spare compatible RAM is available nearby, and I can’t get a refund since it’s second-hand. Anyone know a solution or where to buy a replacement AMD Expo 16GB stick?

It would be more effective to use a completely different set of components. Ryzen recommends two kits together, which allows the RAM to work seamlessly instead of relying on a single stick.
