Hey there! It's great you're getting your setup together. The manual says the motherboard supports CPUs up to 95W, but since you upgraded from 95W to 95W again with your new CPU, it’s a bit tricky. Using the maximum supported TDP shouldn’t damage the board, but it might put extra stress on it. Just make sure your power supply can handle it and avoid overloading. It’s probably fine as long as you’re careful, but if you're unsure, it’s safer to stick with a slightly lower TDP for now.

The motherboard won’t allow you to push the CPU beyond its limits. It can run the processor, but it will only increase performance within standard turbo settings. For optimal unlocked CPU performance, use a Z-series motherboard.

I don’t think I’ll go overclock. My previous CPU worked fine, so I’m happy with the 9400f. The new 9600k is on sale, but I’m content with its factory settings—no issues expected. It should run smoothly without affecting the motherboard.
