It's acceptable on the higher end. However, it's just fine. As long as it doesn't rise to 1.47 or more. You're safe.

Is this voltage setting? You could adjust it using offset or adaptive control. The maximum of 1.4v is suggested for sustained use.

Even 1.4v seems high for the 9th generation; typical long-term boosts usually hover near 1.3v for these chips.

Also consider that increasing cores generally means lower peak voltage. A quad-core chip from several years back might have needed around 1.45v, while a 6-core model was already at 1.4v. Nowadays, 10-core processors typically operate in the low 1.3v range. I mentioned you're safe since it's not a very high core count, but still, it's quite high voltage. My 6700k has been stable at 4.8ghz with 1.4v for years. I could push to 4.9ghz at 1.46v, but I'm holding back on that extra 100mhz for better durability. I'd suggest you do the same—cut the clock down a bit and use a more stable voltage. That's what I'd recommend.

According to the MSI website, our suggestion is 1.43v for i5-9600K at 5GHz. That seems fine because I already have a compatible motherboard. A note, it might not be perfect, but I plan to upgrade the CPU next year. Thanks!
