Max CPU usage for Core 0 durability
Max CPU usage for Core 0 durability
Hello, I’m working with a gaming setup that uses Process Lasso to cap background processes. I limit all background tasks to just two logical cores—core 0 with hyperthreading and the other core also with hyperthreading. The remaining seven P-cores are dedicated to the game, which also has hyperthreading enabled, giving the game access to eight cores overall. This configuration gives me minimal micro stutters without needing to tweak BIOS settings every time I play. My E-cores stay active but aren’t prioritized during games because power limits affect them more than the P-cores. The system’s TCC is set at 85°C, and my machine is a Dell G15 with an i9 processor. I run max utilization on core 0 while gaming, mainly to handle background work. Is this constant high usage on core 0 safe over months or years? Thanks for your advice!
