I learned how to boost my Ryzen 7 2700 by adjusting the BIOS settings. The setup used an Asus Prime X470 Pro and achieved around 3.5 MHz across all cores. Temperatures stayed below 50°C during Cinebench R15 runs, but anything above that might cause issues. I changed the FID without altering the voltage. It seems the BIOS behavior is a bit unusual. Unfortunately, I’m not home right now so I can’t share photos. I’ll respond once I’m back and have access to the BIOS. From the video, the Asus BIOS appears to be updated—probably using a 2700X, but the principles should apply. My Cinebench R15 score at this overclock was 1536 on all cores. I also have an R20, but since Jay used R15 in the video, I was testing for comparison.

What cooler are you running? Adjust the voltage to 1.35, set the ratio, then perform a stress test to check stability and temperatures. Gradually lower the voltage until it fails and raise it slightly again. Overclocking Ryzen is straightforward no matter the BIOS settings.

I was the only option I had discovered... found another YouTube clip that used the same but managed to pull close to 3.9ghz (yeah, silicone luck and all). But 3.5 seems a bit low based on what I’ve heard. I think I might have done something wrong, which is why I’m asking for help. I’ll put it back to auto when I get home, sure.

FID overclocking demands more effort and consistency. Often it's better to keep FID and DID unchanged and adjust the multiplier instead.

You're using a 1800x at 1.3425, which is a solid setting. You might achieve higher speeds by adjusting all cores to that frequency. I'm not sure about your CPU turbo settings, but trying this could help.

Alright, I'll revert back to the default settings—auto—and try again to find the multiplier. Do any of you know about this particular board? Since my latest bios are from three days ago, I updated it after building it. It was straightforward, thanks!

You can adjust the multiplier based on the board you have. It hasn’t been a long time since I used it, so if you can provide a screenshot, I’ll be able to assist more effectively. I’m hoping you can achieve at least 4.0GHz or 3.9GHz from your CPU.
