Everyone online prefers AMD for PC building because it offers strong performance and good value. Many builders see more content featuring AMD processors on platforms like YouTube, while Intel is less commonly discussed. This trend helps shape the choices people make when setting up their systems.

Significantly improved value with additional benefits such as enhanced cooling options, a more robust upgrade route, and an updated feature collection (PCIe 4.0). Security improvements include reduced or fewer speculative execution vulnerabilities.

The value-to-performance ratio makes perfect sense; AMD is clearly outperforming Intel.

Intel isn't leading the CPU race anymore. AMD is outperforming it in many areas and has reduced manufacturing to extremely small nanometer sizes, a challenge Intel is finding hard to match. Plus, AMD offers their chips at lower prices for similar performance levels. Edited March 23, 2020 by LunaP0n3

Intel has remained largely unchanged for years, offering only minor performance boosts across generations. AMD quickly capitalized on the opportunity with their Zen release, while Intel hesitated, letting them shine. They underestimated AMD’s potential and missed a chance to regain momentum. Now the situation is clear—Intel is still tied to outdated 14nm technology introduced in 2014. Recent security flaws led to significant performance drops when addressed. Despite strong results in single-threaded tasks, Intel struggles with multi-threading, except for costly processors that most consumers can’t afford. AMD delivers better value for performance.

Intel is often seen as an overrated choice.
Its price can feel too high for some.
Performance may lag in certain scenarios.
It tends to be power-hungry in many situations.

AMD uses plastic, while Intel relies on aluminium and carbon fiber. AMD moves swiftly in a straight path, and Intel operates with a more powerful, focused approach. AMD is considered European, and Intel is seen as American.
