Hey everyone, I'm still struggling with some issues. I'm using a manual stable OC in manual mode with a 1.420 Vcore in the BIOS. Idle voltage is 1.40, and under Cinebench load it's 1.250V. All temperatures look normal, see the attached photo. I have a 5.2GHz overclock with no AVX enabled. On 4-core load, I'm seeing 53GHz and 4 cache at 4.8GHz. I can't just set Adaptive to 1.420 with no turbo boost enabled—it freezes right when I try to load Windows with Adaptive at that setting. Even changing LLC up to 7 didn't help. What's happening? I've been working on this for hours, but the only way to use it is in manual mode. I don't understand how to apply the offset. My motherboard is an Asus Maximus Extreme XII.
For reference, cinebench isn't the best method to assess CPU stability. It's overly basic, doesn't consume much power, and the load it creates is minimal. Try Asus realbench for extended periods or Linpack xtreme for over an hour. Hey, I've handled it before. But under heavy load I'm reaching 100 with a voltage between 1.290 and 1.3. Should I lower the offset even further? Thanks for the tip—it's working well in Premiere Pro, Autocad, 3ds Max rendering, Realbench, Aida64 FPU, and BF5 during streaming and recording. It's sufficient for my current tasks.
