Make sure your UCLK is correctly set!
This process is really helpful. I discovered the clock divisor setting exists in the RAM adjustment menu near MCR. That means I didn’t have to search through the overclocking area as before. With the updated RAM, it seemed like it wouldn’t start at all. Although training often takes time, this situation was different. I realized MCR was still active, so I reinstalled the previous RAM and saw a quick startup. It looks like MCR attempted to load new modules using old settings, not recognizing the change. After disabling MCR and installing the new RAM, everything worked properly.
Interesting finding. After setting up the 2x16GB configuration with EXPO on, I noticed the auto UCLK reaching 3000. I’m curious if the 2x32GB setup at 1500 might reflect a 2R versus 1R configuration. I ran additional tests with the updated kit and saw differences: Prime95 8192k 8c8w showed +7.4% for 2R vs +9.2% for 1R on 4800C40. The slower RAM seems to gain more because it’s hitting a tighter limit. I did some other spot tests and got unexpected outcomes, so I’ll need to bring the 2R RAM back later to verify. It probably won’t be soon since I’ve got a busy week ahead.
