I discovered a method to modify the range with XGamma, and now you can retain the configuration even after each restart.

Your command will run at startup if configured properly in your system's startup script. To ensure it executes, check the relevant configuration files and set the appropriate environment variables or startup options. The output you see at the bottom is likely a reference to that setup.

For testing logout or reboot, insert xgamma -gamma 0.85 at the end of the file. If this doesn't help, add it to ~/.xinitrc and make sure it exists.
