While browsing motherboards, I’ve been checking out the MSI X470 Gaming Plus mainly because its price is almost the same as the 450 model. I noticed it lacks a display port and doesn’t support HDMI 2.0. My question is whether missing these features means it’s not worth your build, especially since you’re targeting a 1440p display. Is there another option that fits better? Also, do my current specs enable a 1440p setup?

Don't stress about the video connector on the motherboard—it's mainly useful for troubleshooting and setup when you don't have a GPU. You should connect the video to the ports on the back of the GPU.
