The laptop was purchased on eBay as faulty, causing it to loop and restart during automatic repair. I examined the heatsink mounting pressure and discovered a suitable setting that helps it run better. It has been running quite hot lately, so I’m considering switching to thermal pads instead of thermal paste for improvement.
During my early days with direct die processes, I would layer thermal pads or electrical tape and arrange them just a bit higher than the core die. This method was time-consuming, often requiring an entire day to perfect. You can't simply swap thermal paste for thermal pads, but it might still be a viable alternative.
