Recently cloned your 500gb HDD onto the new M.2 drive, and your PC is displaying several messages. 1) After booting, it shows the MSI post screen, spins a circle, then the MSI logo vanishes, followed by spinning circles and an endless black screen. 2) When you unplug the old HDD, the recovery environment appears with an error about winload.efi, then several options appear; only the UEFI BIOS screen seems usable. You’re using a B660M-A motherboard with an i3 12100F, but you suspect it might not be the issue. 3) If you manually enter the repair screen (after three restarts), you place Windows on a flash drive, but data transfer fails and downloading everything again would be difficult. You’re looking for guidance on getting back into Windows. Windows 10 home

This problem often arises after cloning a drive at work. We've tried every cloning tool available, but sector-by-sector copying still causes boot issues. This guide should help you get back on track. http://woshub.com/how-to-repair-uefi-boo...windows-8/

It seems the bootloader on your old drive is overriding everything. I thought I’d fix it, but I misread the instructions. Sorry for the confusion. Regardless, it should work now. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to understand this myself and my college friends. We had to perform numerous clean installations, which wasn’t very fun. After some research, I discovered that many sites recommend rebuilding the MBR, especially with UEFI. It took me a long time to find the right thread.

You matched a previous result. Simply removing your SATA devices allowed Windows to install smoothly on the M.2 drive.
