I purchased a Mac recently and was searching for ways to customize the software. I installed fanny, a tool for monitoring CPU temperature and fan speed. After deleting it, the /process page kept running while Safari was active. I cleared any remaining files via Spotlight but didn’t see improvements. Any suggestions would be helpful (reference screenshot). Updated on September 8, 2020 by Tedz002 – Fixed by adjusting Safari settings and clearing data.

No, I haven't checked the Safari or control panel for extensions.

Yes, I confirmed it was deleted upon initial discovery of the problem.

I used the app cleaner tool to eliminate the program. It worked well even when I was using OS X.
