The MacBook you own isn't ideal for modern operating systems. It only supports OS X 10.7 Lion, which is very old, and updating to newer versions isn't possible. For contemporary software, consider using Windows or Linux. Macs don’t have a traditional BIOS menu; you can access boot options by holding the option key during startup, allowing selection between a DVD or USB drive.
