In theory, the eGPU case doesn't require extra drivers when using an Apple-approved one. The main considerations are whether Apple officially supports it and if the maker provides drivers. GTX 10 and Radeon Pro/WX should function perfectly. RX is probably compatible too. For models not officially supported, you might need different drivers.

I don't have personal beliefs, but it seems unlikely Apple would back the Titan X and Quadros since they’re not part of their current product lineup.
