My machine has remained stable for more than a year since the upgrade from 2015, but recently it's been acting odd. First it would switch to the ROG logo, then go to BIOS, and I discovered the M.2 drive wasn't showing up. After reinserting it, another issue arose—after turning it on normally, it stays at the ROG logo for a moment before shutting down. The only unusual thing is a green light appearing on the motherboard when I power it up. This happened during the last BIOS update around mid-2021. OS version: Win10 64-bit CPU, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, Motherboard: Asus ROG B450-F, GPU: MSI R9 390X, RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB, SSD: Silicon Power A80.

The specifications look good and the system is running. Can you check if the SSD functions properly and operates smoothly? Try connecting it to another machine and booting from there, using a different boot device to confirm the drive's health. Also, since the OS appears corrupted, reinstalling Windows or using a Live USB for recovery might be beneficial.

That's the "Boot" indicator. I'm not sure what the green light signifies, but it seems to mean the system is starting up.

Hey there! It looks like you're dealing with a tough situation—maybe a failing drive or a messed-up boot sector. You might want to try making a recovery disk and see if it can fix things. If that doesn’t work, you could need to go through some complicated steps to replace the boot sector. I remember someone who faced this challenge and spent about three hours trying before it finally worked. It was frustrating, especially since it ended up right where it started. Let’s hope this gets resolved!

I connected it to my brother's machine, but it doesn't recognize the M.2 slot—it only sees his. The docent clarifies why it won't enter BIOS; it simply stops after hanging near the ROG logo for a moment.

I verified it once more and then restarted it without connecting the SSD, and then it moved to BIOS—it’s clearly a faulty SSD causing the issues, I’m almost certain.

It's probably due to a different SSD being used, especially if your brother's system was starting from another one. Thanks for understanding.
