Macbook gaming V2: 30fps with Tour Bioshock Infinite (PROOF EDITION)
Well, well what we have here is Bioshock Infinite on a Retina MacBook Pro at 30 FPS or higher—definitely solid. Yes, we do see improvements; in fact, texture detail and quality are at ultra. All other settings are running at their minimum or off. It’s not great, but the performance demands were high. Anyway, you’ll notice your eyes will appreciate what you see. Just remember, this was running at 720p instead of native resolution as requested by the FPS gods. Here lies the proof.
Which MacBook model are you considering? What price range are you looking at? Where can I find reliable information? Also, your computer handles Bioshock Infinite smoothly at 30+ frames per second on 720p resolution.
Lol, buying a MacBook for gaming is a huge mistake, and even worse if you think a regular one will cut it. It’s not what these devices are meant for, no matter how powerful the GPU is. If you really need a gaming laptop, go for a Gigabyte or an Asus model. Just don’t go with Apple—running Bioshock Infinite at 30fps is practically impossible unless you dial everything down to the bare minimum. That’s a terrible gaming experience. MacBooks are clearly not built for gaming. Even if Apple made a gaming laptop, it would be overpriced. If you’re serious about high-performance gaming, consider a Razer Blade—it’s almost the same thing.
Proof sufficient? Yes, it is. The base 13-inch retina design was introduced around late 2014.
